Mendecs Trading

Mendecs Trading started the handicraft business in 1987 by supplying local handicraft shops in their municipality.  In 1996, Mr. Rodel Mendoza, owner of Mendecs Trading, was requested by one of his local buyers to assist in the delivery of goods to CCAP.  CCAP then requested him to make new samples and upon approval was given his first Purchase Order.  From then on, he supplies tistis planters, bamboo wine holders, baskets and other decorative items to CCAP.  He also endorses other small producers in their community to directly supply to CCAP.  He became the President of the Federation of Philippine Craft Fair Trade, Inc., composed of different individual handicraft producers nationwide.  He also became a member of the Board of Trustees of CCAP in 2001 to 2010 where he represented the partner-producers.
