Elena’s Handicraft

In the late 1980s, Ms. Elena Paragas was a handicraft worker of the late Ms Edilberta Paragas who owned a small workshop making wood carvings.  She then became Edilberta’s daughter-in-law and continued the business under her own name in 1999.  Decorative animals made of soft wood materials are produced by Elena’s handicrafts.

Elena was also able to set-up a small sari-sari store which supplies her neighbors with rice, feeds and fishing gears aside from the usual items.  This also helps her workers in times of need.
